Arena Upgrades & Fan Experience
The building may look the same from the outside, but when planned improvements to the inside of the MAC Center are completed, Kent State’s men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball teams will, in effect, have a new arena to call home. In addition, the enhancements will greatly improve the experience of all those who attend events.
On a day-to-day basis, the most important change will come in the form of a new practice court that can be utilized by all three sports, especially when the main court is in use for other university-related events. A dedicated practice court will be a tremendous resource for all three programs for both player development and recruiting.
Additional upgrades to seating and entertainment areas, restrooms, concessions, lobby and concourse areas, and a rebranded Varsity “K” Hall of Fame area, will enhance the overall fan experience for all supporters of the Golden Flashes and give the MAC Center a true “arena” feel.
Through your generosity, these enhancements will significantly transform the MAC Center into one of the top venues in the Mid-American Conference and beyond.
WHY?
The new practice facility will greatly aid men’s and women’s basketball and volleyball in their training and recruiting efforts by providing dedicated court space.
WHY?
The facility will allow for flexibility in practice scheduling, which in turn will give our student-athletes more freedom in setting their class schedules.
WHY?
The top-to-bottom improvements in the MAC Center will aid tremendously in the recruitment of future student-athletes.
WHY?
The updates to the seating, entertainment areas, concourses, restrooms and concessions will greatly enhance the game day experience of Golden Flashes fans, donors and alumni.
