Dix Stadium Football Upgrades
On the heels of Kent State’s first bowl appearance in 40 years, planned renovations and improvements to Dix Stadium will assist in the continued growth of the football program, while significantly impacting our student-athletes, coaches and fans alike.
Most noticeably, a new building will house coaches’ offices, conference rooms and a multi-purpose/team dining room serving all sports. Within the current stadium infrastructure, the plan calls for a new players lounge, upgraded locker room facilities and additional meeting and film rooms.
For the fans, the enhancements will include upgraded seating areas on the home grandstand, covered seating in the student section and a new alumni parking area. In addition, the suite areas will be updated, while the hospitality service area will be improved to better accommodate our game day needs for donors and guests.
With your continued support, these improvements will assist in transforming both the look of our stadium and the foundation upon which our program is built. By enhancing our facilities and team profile, bowl appearances could become commonplace for the Golden Flashes.

The new building will allow coaches and players easier access to one another and to the football facilities. It will also serve as a showcase for Kent State football’s many achievements.

The across-the-board enhancements, touching nearly every corner of the Dix Complex, will aid in the recruitment of future student-athletes.

The updates to the seating, suite and parking areas at Dix Stadium will greatly enhance the game day experience of Golden Flashes fans, donors and alumni.
We are very excited about the improvements to Dix Stadium. They show the strong commitment our Athletic Department has for our student-athletes and fans. These enhancements will pay dividends on the field, in the classroom and in the hearts of our great fans.
